Massil Technologies - Liferay Developer - Performance Tuning

We are seeking an experienced and solution-oriented Liferay Developer to join our team in Hyderabad.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Liferay DXP 7.0+, a strong background in Java and frontend technologies, and a passion for building enterprise-grade portals and digital platforms.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Liferay-based solutions, integrating with various backend systems, and delivering high-quality applications across the full SDLC.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop enterprise-level web applications using Liferay DXP 7.0+.

- Implement custom portlets, themes, layouts, hooks, and extensions in Liferay.

- Build and configure content management, workflow, and role-based access control models within the Liferay platform.

- Integrate Liferay with internal and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.

- Collaborate with business analysts, UX designers, and QA teams in an Agile environment to deliver solutions aligned with user needs and business goals.

- Develop reusable code and libraries for future use; ensure scalability and maintainability of code.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security in production environments.

- Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers, and enforce coding standards.

- Work on production support and routine system maintenance activities.

- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, and manage tasks in Jira or other Agile tools.

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Liferay DXP 7 or higher (customization, extension, deployment).

- Proficiency in Java/J2EE, including Spring, Hibernate, and design patterns.

- Solid frontend development experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React.

- Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP-based web services.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Git, Jira.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Exposure to mobile-optimized Liferay portals or hybrid mobile development frameworks.

- Knowledge of performance tuning, SQL query optimization, and database troubleshooting.

- Familiarity with cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

- Experience with Liferay upgrade/migration projects.
