We are looking for an experienced MarkLogic Developer with a strong background in MarkLogic database development, XQuery, and Semantic Technologies to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance solutions leveraging MarkLogics multi-model database capabilities, including document, graph, and search functionalities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and optimize complex XQuery scripts and Optic API queries to efficiently retrieve and manipulate XML and JSON data stored in MarkLogic.

- Utilize MarkLogics Semantic Technologies including RDF triples and SPARQL to build knowledge graphs and semantic data models.

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs that expose MarkLogic data services to internal and external consumers.

- Work hands-on with the MarkLogic Data Hub Framework (DHF) to build scalable data integration and harmonization solutions.

- Build and manage data ingestion workflows using Apache NiFi to facilitate efficient data pipelines into MarkLogic.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate MarkLogic deployments and operations into CI/CD pipelines.

- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies to enhance the overall application responsiveness.

- Implement data security, role-based access, and data governance policies within MarkLogic.

- Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain high code quality standards.

- Work with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, to deploy and manage MarkLogic environments.

- Use tools such as Git bash for version control, Gradle for build automation, and IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA or VSCode for development.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, product owners, and QA to deliver robust solutions.

Technical Skills & Qualifications :

- MarkLogic : 5-8 years of hands-on experience with MarkLogic, including deep expertise in XQuery, Optic query API, and Semantic Technologies (RDF, SPARQL).

- Data Hub Framework : Proven experience in implementing data pipelines and harmonization using the MarkLogic Data Hub Framework.

- Apache NiFi : Experience designing and managing data flows and ingestion pipelines with Apache NiFi.

- Cloud Platforms : Comfortable working with cloud services, specifically Azure, including MarkLogic deployment and management on the cloud.

- API Development : Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in designing and developing REST APIs to expose MarkLogic services.

- DevOps : Experience collaborating with DevOps teams and working in environments integrated with CI/CD pipelines.

- Development Tools : Proficient with Git bash, Gradle build tools, and at least one modern IDE such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or Visual Studio Code.

- Other Skills : Understanding of data modeling, indexing strategies, and query performance tuning in MarkLogic.

- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively in agile teams and stakeholder engagements.
