About the Role :

Were seeking a seasoned Markit EDM (S&P Global EDM) developer to design, build, and support enterprise data management workflows.

Youll work closely with upstream/downstream teams, drive data quality, and ensure reliable, performant, and secure data flows for business-critical use cases.

Key Skills (Must-Have) :

- Markit EDM (schemas, workflows, approvals, match/merge, survivorship, exceptions, data quality rules)

- SQL Server (queries, stored procs, performance tuning, indexing)

- Scripting : Shell, Python

- Tooling : Bamboo, SVN, JIRA, Control-M

Nice to Have :

- Market/Reference data domain exposure (e.g., Security Master, Pricing, Corporate Actions)

- Vendor integrations (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE, FactSet), FIX/FPML basics

- REST/SOAP, JSON/XML/XSLT transformations

- CI/CD best practices, artifact management, secrets management

- Cloud familiarity (Azure/AWS) and data services

Responsibilities :

- Design & Build : Develop Markit EDM schemas, workflows, rules, mappings, validations, and approval processes to onboard new datasets and enhance existing pipelines.

- Data Quality & Governance : Implement survivorship, golden-record logic, match/merge strategies, exception handling, and DQ dashboards.

- Integration : Orchestrate upstream ingestion (files/APIs/feeds) and downstream distribution (DB, APIs, files) with robust lineage and metadata.

- Performance & Reliability : Optimize SQL Server objects; diagnose bottlenecks; implement partitioning/indexing and job-level retries.

- Release & Scheduling : Set up CI/CD with Bamboo, version control in SVN, and batch schedules in Control-M; ensure compliant deployments across environments.

- SRE/Support : Own L2/L3 production support within the 211 PM IST windowtriage incidents, drive root-cause analysis, and implement preventive fixes.

- Automation : Use Shell/Python to automate run-books, data checks, and operational tasks.

- Collaboration & Documentation : Partner with BA/QA/platform teams; produce design specs, run-books, and support guides; track work in JIRA.

- Security & Compliance : Adhere to access controls, audit requirements, and data privacy policies.

Qualifications :

- 8- 10 years total experience with 8+ years hands-on in Markit/S&P Global EDM.

- Strong SQL Server engineering and performance tuning skills.

- Solid scripting in Shell/Python and experience with Bamboo, SVN, JIRA, Control-M.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and troubleshooting skills.

- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
