We are seeking a specialized Manual Tester with deep functional expertise in Guidewire Policy Center (Version 10). In this role, you will act as a "Policy Lifecycle Validator," responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of insurance policy transactions within the Guidewire ecosystem.


You will be expected to demonstrate high competency in out-of-the-box (OOTB) Policy Center functionality, validating complex insurance workflows from submission to renewal.


The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented tester who stays current with the latest Guidewire versions and possesses the technical aptitude to perform back-end verification alongside front-end functional testing.


- Guidewire V10 Functional Testing: Execute comprehensive manual test cases specifically within the Guidewire Policy Center Version 10 environment, focusing on end-to-end policy processing.


- Policy Lifecycle Validation: Validate the complete insurance lifecycle, including Submissions, Quotes, Issuance, Policy Changes, Renewals, Cancellations, and Reinstatements.


- Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) Competency: Demonstrate expert knowledge of standard Policy Center features and configurations to identify deviations and ensure alignment with insurance business rules.


- Back-End & Database Verification: Perform back-end testing by validating data integrity in the database and checking server logs to ensure correct transaction processing.


- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira or ALM, providing detailed reproduction steps and collaborating with developers for timely resolution.


- Regression Testing: Conduct rigorous manual regression testing cycles to ensure that configuration changes or version upgrades do not impact existing core functionalities.


- Requirements Analysis: Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to create detailed, high-coverage manual test plans and test scenarios.


- Integration Testing: Verify data flow between Policy Center and downstream systems (such as BillingCenter or ClaimCenter) to ensure consistent data synchronization.


- User Acceptance Support: Assist business stakeholders during UAT phases by providing technical insights into Policy Center behavior and validating edge-case scenarios.


- Version Expertise: Mandatory hands-on experience with Guidewire Policy Center Version 10.


- Domain Knowledge: Minimum 25 years of recent and relevant manual testing experience in the General Insurance (P&C) domain.


- OOTB Mastery: Ability to answer advanced functional questions regarding standard Guidewire Policy Center workflows without customization.


- Back-End Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data validation and experience navigating back-end application structures.


- Testing Methodology: Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) within Agile/Scrum environments.


- Multi-Module Exposure: Familiarity with Guidewire BillingCenter or ClaimCenter is a significant plus.


- Insurance Certification: Professional certifications in Insurance (e.g., AICPCU) or Guidewire-specific certifications.


- API Testing: Basic knowledge of testing REST/SOAP APIs using tools like Postman is helpful for back-end validation.


- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to identifying functional inconsistencies in complex insurance products.


- Result Driven: A commitment to meeting project timelines and ensuring zero critical defects in the production environment.


- Independent Execution: Ability to work effectively in a remote offshore setup with minimal supervision.


- Effective Communication: Clear and concise reporting of test results and defect status to onsite stakeholders.
