Manual Test Engineer - STLC Process

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Review and analyze system specifications and requirements.

- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases.

- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Ensure software quality through thorough testing processes.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to resolve issues.

- Prepare test reports and maintain proper documentation.

Required Skills :

- Hands-on experience in writing and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.

- Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis, or similar).

- Good understanding of functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.

- Knowledge of database/SQL queries for data validation.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Good to Have :

- Knowledge of automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) is an added advantage.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
