Role Overview :
As a Manual Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications before they reach the end-user. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to identify defects, validate system requirements, and ensure that the final product meets high-performance standards. Your contribution is critical in maintaining the integrity of our software releases and enhancing the overall user experience by catching functional gaps early in the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform rigorous functional testing to validate that all application features operate correctly according to design specifications.
- Document and track bugs using defect management tools to ensure timely resolution by the development team.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes, ensuring a stable final build for deployment.
- Participate in requirement analysis and test planning sessions to provide early feedback on potential edge cases or logical inconsistencies.
- Maintain detailed test documentation and status reports to keep stakeholders informed about the quality status of ongoing projects.
Required Skillset :
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC) processes.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable test scenarios.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail to detect subtle functional discrepancies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with technical teams.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in an on-site office environment in Gandhinagar.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
