Key Requirements & Experience :
Immediate Availability : This role is for an immediate joiner (or candidates with a maximum notice period of 15 days).
Domain Expertise : Strong, hands-on experience in one or more of the following core
telecommunications areas :
- Billing
- Order Management
- Provisioning
- Operational Support Systems (OSS)
- Business Support Systems (BSS)
QA Process Mastery : Proven expertise in the end-to-end QA lifecycle, including :
- Detailed Test Case Creation (writing comprehensive, traceable test cases from requirements).
- Systematic Test Execution (functional, regression, system integration testing).
- Effective Defect Tracking & Reporting (using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for
collaborating with cross-functional teams located globally and reporting effectively.
- Database Knowledge (Nice to Have) : Proficiency in SQL and database validation techniques
(e.g., querying data, validating transactions, data integrity checks) is a strong advantage.
Core Responsibilities :
As a Manual QA Engineer, you will be a vital part of our quality assurance team, responsible for delivering high-quality, reliable telecommunications solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include :
- Test Strategy & Design : Analyze business and technical requirements to design, implement,
and maintain comprehensive, reusable test cases and test scripts.
- Test Execution : Execute functional, system integration, regression, and UAT test cycles in a
timely and efficient manner, specifically tailored for telecom domain applications (OSS/BSS flows).
- Defect Management : Accurately identify, document, and record bugs in the defect tracking system, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting.
- Process Improvement : Evaluate and analyze the current testing processes, methodologies, and tools, making proactive recommendations for necessary improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Reporting : Provide clear, concise, and timely status updates, test execution reports, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Relevant Experience : Minimum of 1+ years of relevant testing experience (though 5+ years in the telecom domain is mandatory for this senior role).
- Technical Acumen : Foundational understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, which aids in understanding application architecture and effective testing.
- Teamwork : A proactive and collaborative team player with a strong work ethic, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with global teams during the required UK shift hours.
