Role Overview:

We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of experience to manually test L1, L2, and L3 features on Cisco Catalyst 9000 switches (IOS-XE), identify and report defects, and certify software releases. You will perform manual and automation testing of networking features across routers and switches.

Required Technical Skills:

- Networking Devices: Routers, Switches, Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series Switches.

- Testing Expertise: Manual Testing, Automation Testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Scale Testing, Negative Testing, Test Plan and Test Case Development.

- L1 Testing: Physical Interfaces, Optics, PoE, Link Issues, Connectivity Testing.

- L2 Protocol Testing: VLANs, STP, RSTP, MSTP, EtherChannel, 802.1X, Port Security.

- L3 Protocol Testing: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VRF, HSRP, VRRP, Multicast, ACLs, QoS.

- Networking Platforms: Cisco IOS-XE, Cisco Catalyst Switches, Routers and Switches.

Responsibilities:

- Write and execute test plans covering functional, regression, scale, and negative testing.

- Build lab topologies, generate traffic using Ixia/Spirent, and analyze packets using Wireshark.

- Test software upgrades, ISSU, and switch stacking.

- Reproduce customer issues, troubleshoot failures, and file clear and detailed bug reports.

- Perform manual and automation testing of networking protocols and features.

- Validate L1, L2, and L3 protocol functionality on routers and switches.

- Execute regression testing and validate fixes for reported defects.
