Mantra - Quality Assurance Tester - Automation/Manual Testing

Key Responsibilities :

Test Planning & Design :

- Review functional requirements, user stories, and design specifications to create detailed test plans and test scenarios.

- Develop comprehensive test cases, test scripts, and test data for manual and automated testing.

- Define testing strategies and ensure full coverage for functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

Test Execution :

- Perform manual testing of web, mobile, and backend applications.

- Execute various types of testing including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, usability, system, and UAT.

- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.

- Re-test resolved defects and ensure they meet acceptance criteria.

Automation (If Required) :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, or equivalent.

- Participate in automation framework enhancement and continuous integration environments.

- Work with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or other automation tools.

Collaboration & Documentation

- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Prepare detailed test reports, defect logs, status dashboards, and maintain testing-related documentation.

Quality Assurance & Process Improvement :

- Ensure adherence to QA standards, testing best practices, and organizational quality processes.

- Provide recommendations to improve testing processes and enhance overall product quality.

- Advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle and contribute to continuous improvement.

- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and different testing methodologies.

- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.

- Proficiency in writing clear and concise test cases and defect reports.

- Basic understanding of SQL for database validation and API testing tools like Postman.

- Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or Robot Framework.

- Exposure to API automation (RestAssured) and performance testing (JMeter).

- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure).

- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and CI/CD practices
