Role Overview :

As the Managing Director of Data Science, based in Hyderabad, you will lead and scale our Data Science organization, driving innovation and delivering cutting-edge AI-powered solutions to our SaaS clients. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and sales teams to define and execute our AI strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. Your leadership will directly impact our ability to deliver transformative solutions, enhance customer experiences, and achieve significant revenue growth through advanced analytics and AI.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute the overall Data Science strategy, aligning it with the company's business objectives and market opportunities, to drive innovation and competitive advantage.

- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI researchers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning, to build a high-performing organization.

- Drive the research, development, and deployment of advanced AI models, including Generative AI and Agentic AI, leveraging technologies like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and LangChain, to create impactful solutions for our SaaS platform.

- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into our existing products and develop new AI-driven offerings, ensuring seamless user experiences and enhanced functionality.

- Partner with sales and marketing teams to communicate the value of our AI solutions to clients and prospects, supporting business development efforts and driving revenue growth.

- Establish and maintain robust MLOps practices to ensure the reliable and scalable deployment of AI models, monitoring performance and addressing issues proactively, to maintain high-quality service delivery.

- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and data science, evaluating new technologies and methodologies for potential adoption, to keep our solutions at the forefront of innovation.

- Manage the Data Science budget effectively, allocating resources strategically to maximize impact and ROI, ensuring efficient use of company assets.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing data science teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

- Proven expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models, including deep learning and natural language processing, using frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.

- Deep understanding of Generative AI and Agentic AI concepts and their practical applications in SaaS environments.

- Strong experience with MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
