Manager - Site Reliability Engineering

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Lead and grow a team of SREs responsible for PostgreSQL and MySQL reliability, uptime, and performance.

- Architect, automate, and optimize database provisioning, scaling, backup, and failover processes.

- Drive continuous improvement in monitoring, incident management, and disaster recovery.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and support teams to deliver robust database infrastructure.

- Own and manage SLA/SLO objectives and ensure systems meet uptime and availability targets.

- Contribute to the platform roadmap with a focus on open-source database scalability and automation.

Requirements :

- Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL in production environments.

- Deep understanding of DBaaS, replication, high availability, backup, and failover strategies.

- Automation-first mindset with scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.

- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana).

- Solid knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).

- Proven track record in leading technical teams with performance and reliability goals.

- 10+ years of experience in database/SRE roles.

- 7-8 years of technical expertise with PostgreSQL/MySQL.

- 3+ years of people management or technical leadership experience.

- Strong communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
