The Manager IT Application Support will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of application lifecycle management, from implementation and maintenance to optimization and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong functional understanding of retail lending (LAP) and proven experience in managing IT application teams and vendors.
Responsibilities :
Application Management :
- Oversee a set of business-critical applications, ensuring they support the business functions and operate reliably.
- Manage the full lifecycle of applications : selection, implementation, upgrades, enhancements, maintenance, end-support.
Team Management :
- Lead and motivate a team of application and support staff; ensure they are trained, accountable, effective.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders, IT infrastructure, vendors, and third parties to address application needs and issues.
- Conduct performance reviews, mentoring, and foster a culture of strong service and delivery.
Implementation & Support :
- Lead new implementations and major updates to applications (especially LOS/loan systems and supporting modules); ensure delivery on time and meeting business requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships : SLAs, issue resolution, vendor deliverables, integration of vendor solutions.
- Provide technical escalation support (L2/L3) for complex problems in applications, integrations or data flows.
Troubleshooting & Incident Management :
- Ensure prompt resolution of application incidents, minimizing downtime and business disruption.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement permanent fixes or process changes.
- Manage changes to applications via structured change management; ensure compliance and risk control for deployments.
Continuous Improvement :
- Monitor emerging technologies, trends in application management, and recommend improvements,
architecture refinements or tool adoptions.
- Identify process improvement opportunities (for efficiency, cost reduction, user experience enhancement) and drive them.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Graduate in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT application management, preferably in retail finance or LAP domain.
Skills :
- Strong knowledge of IT application management and system integration.
- Basic understanding of application architecture and databases (SQL, etc.).
- Experience managing LOS or similar enterprise applications.
- Sound understanding of security, compliance, and risk management practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
