Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced zOS System Programmer with 6-10 years of expertise in Mainframe zOS environments. This role requires a strong technical stronghold on application zOS activities and core system programming tasks. The successful candidate will be a deep technical resource focused on platform configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and advanced troubleshooting. The primary focus is on technical growth and maintaining a stable, functional zOS environment.

Key Responsibilities & Role Expectations :

- System Maintenance & Upgrades : Strong experience in zOS version upgrades, product installation, and maintaining ISV products.

- Configuration & Setup : Expert in zOS Mainframe configuration and setup, including performing Mainframe LPAR builds.

- Patch Management : Responsible for the installation of patches and fixes.

- Platform Governance : Strong knowledge and maintenance of SMPE, system parameters/ Parmlib.

- Troubleshooting & Support : Managing and resolving incidents related to z/OS issues.

- Environment Support : Providing support during crunch scenarios and participating in monthly on-call weekend support.

Required Technical Skills & Competencies (Must-Have) :

- Strong knowledge in SMPE.

- Product installation and ISV products.

- Strong experience in zOS versions upgrades.

- Installation of patches and fixes.

- Expertise in Parallel Sysplex concepts.

- Proficiency in System parameters/ Parmlib maintenance.

- zOS MF configuration and setup.

- Experience Mainframe LPAR builds.

- Managing incidents on z/OS related issues.

- Familiarity with keywords : SMPE, SDSF, TSO, PARMLIB, IODF, SYSPLEX, ISV.
