Job Description :

Aqilea India is seeking a skilled Mainframe Tester with strong technical expertise in legacy systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2, and mainframe batch processes, and will ensure high-quality deliverables in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform end-to-end testing of mainframe-based applications and batch processes.

- Analyze requirements, design test cases, and execute functional and regression tests.

- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to ensure complete test coverage.

- Debug and resolve issues in COBOL programs, JCL, and batch jobs.

- Validate data integrity and consistency using DB2 queries.

- Track and manage defects using JIRA or similar tools.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

- Provide regular test reports and updates to stakeholders.

Required Skills :

- 34 years of proven experience in Mainframe Testing.

- Strong knowledge of DB2, COBOL, and JCL.

- Understanding of mainframe batch job flows and debugging techniques.

- Experience with Agile methodologies and testing tools like JIRA.

- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for validation and troubleshooting.

- Good analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.

- ISTQB Certification (advantageous).

- Exposure to automation in mainframe testing (a bonus)
