The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mainframe environments, batch and online testing, and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues in COBOL, JCL, DB2 and CICS applications.

Responsibilities :

- Analyze business requirements, system specifications, and technical documents to create comprehensive test plans and cases.

- Perform manual testing of mainframe applications, especially those involving CICS online screens and batch jobs.

- Execute test cases for COBOL/CICS programs and validate results against expected outcomes.

- Create, manage, and maintain test data in a mainframe environment.

- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, ALM, or equivalent.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to ensure high-quality releases.

- Validate system interfaces and data integrity across DB2 VSAM, and other mainframe databases.

- Participate in regression, functional, integration, and UAT testing phases.

- Provide regular status updates and contribute to test strategy planning.
