Key Responsibilities :

- Provide L2/L3 level production support for mainframe-based applications and services.

- Monitor, triage, and resolve incidents and issues in production environments to ensure minimal downtime.

- Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with development teams for permanent fixes.

- Execute and validate data integrity through strong SQL queries (preferably in MS SQL).

- Support automation initiatives and improve testing processes across the production lifecycle.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure software stability, performance, and quality.

- Document production issues, resolutions, and operational procedures.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in Mainframe Production Support, with a strong focus on database and automation testing.

- Proven expertise in SQL (MS SQL preferred) for complex queries, data validation, and troubleshooting.

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to work in Agile teams.

- Ability to drive software quality, optimize testing and support processes.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to handle critical production issues under pressure and ensure timely resolution.

Nice to Have :

- Exposure to job scheduling tools like Control-M or CA-7.

- Experience in writing or supporting JCL, COBOL, or other mainframe scripting languages.

- Understanding of ITIL processes for incident and change management.
