Mainframe Developer - COBOL/JCL/DB2

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.

- Perform analysis, coding, testing, and debugging of complex applications.

- Develop and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and queries in DB2 and Oracle PL/SQL.

- Work on batch and online programs, ensuring efficiency and scalability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to maintain high system availability.

- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and system optimization activities.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test cases, and user guides.

- Ensure compliance with SDLC processes, coding standards, and quality assurance practices.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and batch processing.

- Experience in Oracle PL/SQL for database programming (preferred).

- Knowledge of performance tuning and debugging tools in mainframe systems.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Exposure to Agile/DevOps methodologies.

- Familiarity with version control systems and modern CI/CD tools.
