Mainframe Developer - COBOL/JCL/DB2

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS and a solid understanding of mainframe environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Write and debug COBOL programs, JCL scripts, and DB2 queries.

- Work with CICS, VSAM, IMS and other mainframe tools.

- Perform code analysis, unit testing, and production support.

- Troubleshoot issues and provide efficient solutions.

- Participate in requirement gathering, design, and documentation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for deployment and integration.

- Ensure performance optimization, scalability, and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience in mainframe utilities and tools (SPUFI, File-AID, Abend-AID, etc.).

- Good knowledge of SDLC, debugging, and performance tuning.

- Hands-on experience in production support and maintenance.

- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Agile / DevOps methodologies.

- Exposure to cloud migration or modernization of mainframe applications is a plus.
