Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our team and support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS, IMS-DB, and other mainframe technologies, with a strong focus on application development and 24/7/365 production support.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and implement new and existing business applications.

- Provide round-the-clock production support and troubleshoot Mainframe systems to ensure high availability and reliability.

- Develop interfaces and reports to support business operations.

- Conduct system integration and user acceptance testing.

- Review, modify, and debug existing programs to improve performance and reliability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements.

Technical Environment :

- Languages & Tools : COBOL, JCL, Changeman, File-Manager, IBM Debug Tool, dBeaver, IWS Job Scheduler, MQMON, TSO/ISPF

- Databases : DB2, IMS-DB

- Transaction Management : CICS

- File Systems : VSAM

Required Qualifications :

- 5 to 15 years of hands-on experience in :

1. COBOL

2. DB2

3. JCL

4. IMS-DB

5. CICS

6. VSAM

- Experience in providing 24/7/365 production support for critical systems.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with job scheduling tools like IWS.

- Familiarity with debugging and file management tools.

- Exposure to Agile or DevOps environments is a plus.

Soft Skills :

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

- Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
