Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mainframe DB2 Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and other mainframe technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications that interface with DB2 on IBM Mainframe systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.

- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning in DB2.

- Analyze user requirements and translate them into system specifications and technical solutions.

- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, system integration testing, and UAT support.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA, and Infrastructure teams.

- Ensure high quality and timely delivery of software solutions.

- Handle batch processing, data migration, and data reconciliation tasks as needed.

- Provide production support and troubleshoot DB2-related performance and data issues.

- Maintain technical documentation and adhere to coding standards and compliance policies.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6 to 13 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development.

- Strong expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.

- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries and DB2 stored procedures.

- Experience in batch and online processing on IBM Mainframe systems.

- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
