Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Mainframe CICS Application Programmer with 8+ years of relevant experience.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in designing, developing, and implementing robust CICS-based applications.

This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Assembler programming, managing CICS transactions, and creating interfaces to other mainframe components.

You must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and deliver under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities :

- CICS Application Development : Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of complex CICS-based applications on the mainframe platform.

- Transaction Management : Define, manage, and optimize CICS transactions to ensure efficient and reliable processing of business logic.

- Assembler Programming : Write, maintain, and enhance code using high-level Assembler Language. The role requires the ability to optimize these routines for performance and stability.

- Mainframe Integration : Develop and maintain interfaces that enable seamless communication between CICS applications and other critical mainframe components and systems.

- Database Connectivity : Utilize CICS to establish and manage secure, high-performance connections to backend databases such as DB2 or VSAM.

- Problem-Solving & Debugging : Use strong analytical skills to perform in-depth debugging and resolve complex issues within the mainframe environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of relevant experience as a Mainframe CICS Application Programmer.

- Proven expertise in designing and implementing CICS-based applications.

- Strong hands-on experience with Assembler programming.

- Deep technical knowledge of defining and managing CICS transactions.

- Experience in creating interfaces between different mainframe applications.

- Proficiency in establishing and managing database connections from CICS.

- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills in a Mainframe environment.

- The ability to work independently, manage a heavy workload, and deliver under tight timelines.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with mainframe databases like DB2 or VSAM.

- Knowledge of other mainframe languages, such as COBOL or PL/I.

- Familiarity with JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing.

- Experience with performance tuning of CICS applications
