Job Description
Role : Mainframe Assembler
Combination of COBOL, JCL, VSAM with DB2 - Resources need to be strong developers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Mainframe Assembler, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
- Analyze and understand complex legacy code to extract and document business rules.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Perform impact analysis, coding, unit testing, and debugging of mainframe components.
- Work on CICS and MQ Series for transaction and messaging-related tasks.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Utilize mainframe utilities and development tools for daily development and support activities.
Technical Skills :
- 5+years of Hands-on Development experience
- Strong Experience required on Mainframe Assembler
- Very good Hands-on in Cobol, JCL, VSAM, Db2, Mainframe Utilities,
- Strong Coding experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM.
- Work experience in CICS / MQ series.
- Strong analytical skills to independently analyze complex code and extract business rules.
- Willingness to WFO ODC (No WFH).
- JAVA / JASON-LD will be added advantage
