Job Responsibilities :
We are seeking a Data Scientist with 4 - 6 years of experience to join Magnas Digital Products team.
This role requires a strong product-oriented mindset, the ability to engage with stakeholders, and the technical skills to design, build, and scale data science solutions on Databricks and cloud platforms (Azure / AWS).
You will be central to embedding intelligence into Magnas digital products and driving measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities :
- Partner with stakeholders across product, business, and technology teams to identify opportunities where data science can deliver value.
- Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and deliver data-powered digital solutions.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models using Databricks (PySpark, MLflow, Delta Lake).
- Build scalable pipelines and ML workflows using Azure / AWS cloud services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Azure ML, Azure DevOps / AWS S3, Glue, SageMaker, Lambda).
- Communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Work in an agile, product-centric environment, balancing stakeholder needs and technical feasibility.
- Apply MLOps best practices for reproducibility, CI/CD, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
- 4 - 6 years of experience in data science, with a track record of delivering production-ready ML solutions.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with PySpark.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for analytics, ML, and data pipelines.
- Proficiency with Azure / AWS cloud services for data and ML workloads.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills; able to capture requirements, manage expectations, and present outcomes effectively.
- Solid foundation in machine learning algorithms and statistical methods.
- SQL expertise for data manipulation and querying.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience working in digital product teams alongside product managers and engineers.
- Familiarity with Power BI / Tableau for visualization.
- Knowledge of MLOps frameworks and monitoring practices.
- Understanding of automotive or manufacturing business processes.
