Magento Automation Developer

About the Job :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Magento Automation Developer to join our team on a long-term contract. This is a fully remote position for candidates based in India. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and automating high-quality solutions for our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Magento 2 development and test automation, with the ability to create robust, reliable, and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities :

- Magento Development: Develop and maintain custom themes and modules for our Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce) platform.

- API Integration: Work with Magento's REST and SOAP APIs to integrate with third-party services.

- Platform Customization: Customize core Magento functionalities, including the checkout process, shopping cart, and promotions to meet business requirements.

- Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated functional and regression test suites using frameworks like Playwright.

- CI/CD Integration: Integrate test automation suites into our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Bitbucket Pipelines.

- Cross-Browser Testing: Use platforms like BrowserStack to ensure our e-commerce platform functions correctly across various browsers and devices.

Required Skills & Experience :

Magento Expertise :

- Strong proficiency in PHP and deep understanding of Magento 2 architecture (Adobe Commerce or Open Source).

- Proven experience in theme and module development.

- Hands-on experience with Magento REST/SOAP APIs.

- Ability to customize core Magento features such as checkout, cart, and promotional logic.

Automation Expertise :

- Proven experience with test automation frameworks, with a strong preference for Playwright.

- Experience in writing and maintaining comprehensive functional and regression tests.

- Familiarity with creating and managing test suites on platforms like BrowserStack.

- Knowledge of integrating automation scripts into CI/CD workflows using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
