LSEG - Site Reliability Engineer - Azure Cloud Infrastructure

Were hiring for a Site Reliability Engineer role in Bangalore. This is a critical position, and were looking for candidates who can join within 30 days.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Azure (beyond pipelines)

- MS SQL Server (backup/restore, log shipping, import/export)

Other Key Skills :

- Windows admin (DR, cluster failover)

- Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

- Incident/change management (ServiceNow)

- Troubleshooting across DB, OS, and network layers

Key Responsibilities :

- Ensure high availability and reliability of services running on Azure cloud infrastructure, including performance tuning and cost optimization.

- Manage and maintain MS SQL Server environments perform backup/restore operations, log shipping, and data import/export tasks.

- Monitor and manage system health using proactive incident and change management practices (ServiceNow or equivalent).

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across database, operating system, and network layers.

- Support Windows administration activities including disaster recovery setups, cluster failover, and system patching.

- Develop and maintain basic automation and scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.

- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to support CI/CD and deployment activities beyond pipeline configuration.

- Participate in on-call rotation for production support and escalate critical issues as needed.

- Document systems, processes, and runbooks for effective knowledge sharing and operational consistency.
