This role requires close collaboration with teams across Canada, the UK, and India.

To accommodate the time zone differences, you will be expected to work from 11 am to 7 :30 pm IST.

What Youll Be Doing :

- Leading and rapidly building end-to-end features from scratch for Loopios web platform.

- Proactively build technology to prevent bugs as they come up, because you cant stand crappy software.

- Interact with and gather detailed feedback from our customers because you understand that creating a user-centric experience comes first.

- Collaborate closely with our Product Managers and Product Designers in an agile environment to bring features to life and iterate on them based on our customers' feedback.

- Mentor and coach others, providing technical guidance and helping build an environment of knowledge-sharing and encouraged feedback.

- Contributing to Loopios AI roadmap by helping evaluate third-party models, optimising LLM integration patterns, and defining technical guidelines for AI-powered features.

- Comfortable leading technical design discussions and facilitating technical decision making.

- Experience as a technical lead is a bonus!

What Youll Bring to the Team :

- 6+ years of professional software development experience.

- Proven track record of designing and delivering complex software systems at scale.

- Strong experience in backend/API background of either PHP, Python or Java.

- Experience in frontend development, with a solid understanding of React and JavaScript.

- Strong understanding of database design and RDBMS such as MySQL.

- Proficient in using and designing RESTful APIs.

- Mentorship to other engineers through coaching, design, and code reviews.

- Exposure to AI technologies, particularly around LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, etc.), embeddings, or natural language processing.

- While deep ML expertise is not required, familiarity with integrating or working with modern AI APIs is highly valuable.

- Comfortable guiding technical design discussions and facilitating technical decision making.

- A growing passion for driving processes and improving software development productivity for your team.

- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party systems.

- Experience in the following is a plus : Typescript, AWS, Cypress, Elasticsearch, Prior work in building or integrating intelligent features, such as semantic search, RAG and integration with third-party apps.

- Loopio is a global company, HQd in Canada, that embraces flexible and effective work models.

- While many of our teams operate remotely, this role is part of a new, strategic product team that will work in a hybrid model to accelerate innovation and foster deep collaboration.

- For this role, you will be based in our Ahmedabad, Gujarat hub, with the expectation of working from our co-working space in downtown Ahmedabad 3 days per week.

- This approach is intentionally designed to give you the best of both worlds : high-impact, in-person collaboration with your team to drive impactful product initiatives, and the flexibility of focused work-from-home days.

- Our employees (or Loopers, as we call ourselves!) live and work in Canada (British Columbia and Ontario), London, and India (specifically in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Bengaluru).

- Our India/UK hub employees work according to business hours stated in the job description above.

- This is intentionally designed to enable our global teams to have overlapping hours for collaboration.

- Youll collaborate with your immediate team in person and with our global teams virtually across the UK, Canada, and the US (were just a Zoom call and Slack message away!), with core sync hours and focus time for headsdown work during the workday.
