We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and support all aspects of our platform infrastructure.
You will be joining the team of talented Engineers and Architects on the mission to support and enable our software development and machine learning/data teams to deliver cutting-edge features to our customers with high speed and confidence in an automated and repeatable process.
Our infrastructure is in constant evolution, leveraging the latest Cloud technology; compute, serverless, database, caching, deployments, and security.

This role requires close collaboration with teams across Canada, the UK, and India.
To accommodate the time zone differences, you will be expected to work from 11 am to 7:30 pm IST.
What Youll Be Doing :
- Building, maintaining, scaling, and hardening AWS infrastructure that supports current and future needs of our platform.
- Maintain and improve the security posture of Loopios infrastructure in order to protect customer data.
- Collaborate closely with InfoSec, Architect and Engineering teams to find the best solution for services on the AWS platform.
- Automating manual tasks, allowing the team to continue to focus on moving forward: improving our security posture, evaluating new technologies, and helping launch exciting new features.
- Participate in strategic platform and technology decisions, including new technologies, cost-savings strategies, and improved process.
- Project based work including software upgrades, centralized logging, automated monitoring, automated configuration management, load testing, exploring alternative tools to incorporate into the environment, etc.
- Mentor and coach others, providing technical guidance and helping build an environment of knowledge-sharing and candid feedback.
- Playing a supporting role by joining Incident Response and on-call rotations.
- Improve both our incident response by simulating failure scenarios, and disaster recovery processes.
What Youll Bring To The Team :
- 5+ years of experience in a high-growth agile software development environment.
- A focus on automation and reducing toil.
- Leadership within the team, expressing candor & curiosity.
- Ability to operate independently and collaborate effectively across Engineering teams as well as cross-functionally towards achieving the same goal.
- Experience with AWS and AWS services (EC2, RDS, Route 53, VPCs, etc) and Azure.
- Strong understanding of Immutable Infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.
- Solid understanding of best practices for delivery of cloud-based managed applications at a global scale (e. DevOps, SRE, continuous delivery).
- Experience with containerization technology (Docker, ECS, Fargate).
- Passionate about continuous improvement and promoting a culture of feedback driven by data and key metrics.
- Experience building and supporting high-performance / high-availability platforms with a microservices architecture.
- Experience with Jenkins (CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience with centralized configuration management tools, such as Chef and Ansible.

While many of our teams operate remotely, this role is part of a new, strategic product team that will work in a hybrid model to accelerate innovation and foster deep collaboration.
For this role, you will be based in our Ahmedabad, Gujarat hub, with the expectation of working from our co-working space in downtown Ahmedabad 3 days per week.
This approach is intentionally designed to give you the best of both worlds: high-impact, in-person collaboration with your team to drive impactful product initiatives, and the flexibility of focused work-from-home days.
Our employees (or Loopers, as we call ourselves!) live and work in Canada (British Columbia and Ontario), London, and India (specifically in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Bengaluru).
Our India/UK hub employees work according to business hours stated in the job description above.
This is intentionally designed to enable our global teams to have overlapping hours for collaboration.
Youll collaborate with your immediate team in person and with our global teams virtually across the UK, Canada, and the US (were just a Zoom call and Slack message away!), with core sync hours and focus time for headsdown work during the workday.
