Role Overview :

We are looking for a Linux Wi-Fi Development Engineer to develop, integrate, debug and maintain Wi-Fi capabilities for In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems. The candidate will work on Linux-based automotive platforms and collaborate with cross-functional teams, Wi-Fi chipset vendors and hardware teams to develop and troubleshoot Wi-Fi functionality across the software stack.

Key Responsibilities :

- Review Wi-Fi and networking requirements and work with the requirements team to resolve issues and complete specification sign-off.

- Develop high-level and detailed software designs and prepare software test plans.

- Develop, integrate and maintain Wi-Fi software modules for Linux-based IVI systems.

- Work with Linux networking and Wi-Fi stack components, including wpa_supplicant, Hostapd and Wi-Fi Manager.

- Work with chipset vendors and internal teams to resolve Wi-Fi software and integration issues across multiple layers of the Wi-Fi stack.

- Analyze Wi-Fi logs, traces and PCAP captures to identify connectivity and performance issues.

- Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues related to Wi-Fi connectivity, stability, authentication, roaming and data transfer.

- Support board bring-up, Wi-Fi calibration and hardware/software integration activities.

- Perform static analysis and resolve software quality issues.

- Develop scripts and tools to automate Wi-Fi testing and validation.

- Execute development and integration testing and prepare test reports.

- Create technical reports covering software development, issue resolution, testing and project status.

Mandatory Skills :

- 5 - 10 years of experience in Wi-Fi software development.

- Strong development experience with IEEE 802.11n/ac/ax standards.

- Strong understanding of Wi-Fi architecture and Wi-Fi protocol stack.

- Hands-on experience with Linux networking and Wi-Fi stack.

- Hands-on experience with wpa_supplicant and Hostapd.

- Experience with Wi-Fi Manager and connectivity management.

- Strong experience analyzing Wi-Fi logs, traces and PCAP/Wireshark captures.

- Good understanding of Wi-Fi security including WPA2/WPA3.

- Experience troubleshooting Wi-Fi connectivity and performance issues.

- Good programming experience in C/C++.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in automotive or embedded Linux development.

- Experience with Linux-based IVI platforms.

- Experience with Wi-Fi chipset integration.

- Experience with Wi-Fi AP, STA and Wi-Fi Direct.

- Experience with board bring-up and hardware/software debugging.

- Experience developing automated Wi-Fi test tools/scripts.

Education :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
