Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Linux Server Management Administrator to join our team for a long-term project. If you have 3-6 years of hands-on experience in server administration, deep knowledge of Linux OS, and proficiency in managing both physical and virtualized environments, this role is for you. You'll provide 3rd-level technical support, manage daily compute operations, and contribute to the stability and performance of our server infrastructure, including participation in a 24/7 shift model.

Key Responsibilities :

- Deliver 3rd-level technical support in compliance with customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

- Perform daily Compute operations, including handling Events, Incidents, Service Requests, Change Requests, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), strictly following ITIL processes.

- Execute server installation, maintenance, monitoring, decommissioning, and special configurations that extend beyond automated tasks for both physical and virtual machines.

- Conduct Storage Operations primarily based on NetApp-NFS environments.

- Manage package/repository management and maintain Operating System (OS) images.

- Oversee Patch Management utilizing BladeLogic Automation.

- Configure and roll out server-related monitoring and alert systems.

- Perform performance tests and analysis to optimize server efficiency.

- Conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for customer incidents, implementing preventive measures.

- Ensure comprehensive service/task documentation, conduct testing, manage quality, and facilitate knowledge transfer.

- Assist 2nd-level technical support in resolving complex tasks.

- Demonstrate willingness to participate in an On-Call setup, which may include weekends or public holidays as required by the project.

Required Skills :

- Overall 3-6 years experience in Server Management Administration (Linux).

- Proven experience in Server (physical/VM) installation, maintenance, and decommissioning.

- Profound Linux OS operations experience.

- Solid knowledge in hypervisor operations, specifically XEN and VMware.

- Good knowledge in LVM (Logical Volume Manager), DNS (Domain Name System), LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), and IPTables.

- Strong troubleshooting skills for server down situations.

- Knowledge in physical server management.

- Associate-level knowledge in at least one public cloud landscape : AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Basic knowledge in automation tools such as Chef and scripting.

- Ability to work in a 24x7 shift environment.
