Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator with strong expertise in Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in managing Nutanix products, deep Linux administration skills, and proficiency in virtualization, storage, and networking concepts. This role requires problem-solving abilities, proactive monitoring, and ensuring high availability and performance of enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage, configure, and maintain Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform, including AHV (Acropolis Hypervisor), Prism Central/Prism Element, and related components.

- Perform Linux system administration (installation, upgrades, patching, kernel tuning, troubleshooting, user management, security hardening).

- Oversee virtualization environments, primarily Nutanix AHV, with exposure to VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.

- Implement, monitor, and support storage solutions (e.g., EMC, NetApp, Nutanix Files/Volumes) within hyperconverged infrastructure.

- Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure seamless integration of compute, storage, and network resources.

- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies within Nutanix and Linux environments.

- Proactively monitor system health, performance, and capacity planning.

- Troubleshoot complex issues related to Linux OS, virtualization, and Nutanix platforms, ensuring minimal downtime.

- Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles for system operations.

- Provide L2/L3 support and mentor junior team members on Linux and Nutanix operations.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5-8 years of proven experience in Linux Administration (Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu preferred).

- Hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV, Prism, and hyperconverged infrastructure management.

- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (Nutanix AHV a must, VMware/Hyper-V added advantage).

- Solid understanding of storage technologies (EMC, NetApp, Nutanix Files/Volumes, iSCSI, NFS, SAN).

- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls) in a data center environment.

- Experience with scripting/automation (Bash, Python, Ansible, or PowerShell) is a plus.

- Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery strategies.

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve critical issues under pressure.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams.
