We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Linux Administrator to join our growing IT infrastructure team.


In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and security of both production and development environments.

This is a fully remote position offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities :


- Administer, monitor, and maintain Linux servers across cloud and on-premises environments.

- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Linux systems as needed.

- Monitor system health and performance using tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, or Prometheus.

- Automate system administration tasks using Shell scripting, Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools.

- Manage user accounts, file permissions, and ensure system compliance and security.

- Configure and maintain web/application servers (Apache, Nginx), databases, and firewalls.

- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and performance issues.

- Implement disaster recovery procedures and manage regular system backups.

- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and

containerized environments.

- Stay up to date with evolving Linux and infrastructure technologies, applying best practices where relevant.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration.

- Strong knowledge of Linux internals, CLI tools, filesystems, and kernel tuning.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Proficiency in Bash scripting or Python for task automation.

- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.

- Strong understanding of core networking protocols (DNS, HTTP, SSH, SMTP) and firewall

configurations.

- Experience with virtualization tools (e.g., KVM, VMware) and container technologies.

- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to document effectively.

- Capable of working independently and collaborating in distributed teams.

- RHCSA / RHCE

- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator

- CompTIA Linux+ Certification
