Job Summary :

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with 13 years of experience in Android application testing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, usability, and performance of Android mobile applications through manual and basic automated testing practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.

- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and usability testing of Android applications.

- Execute test cases and document test results.

- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using bug-tracking tools.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.

- Validate UI/UX consistency across different Android devices and OS versions.

- Conduct API testing and backend validation where applicable.

- Participate in release validation and production smoke testing.

- Maintain test documentation and quality reports.

- Support continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards.

Required Skills :

- 13 years of experience in mobile application testing, preferably Android.

- Strong understanding of STLC and defect life cycle.

- Experience in creating and executing test cases and test plans.

- Knowledge of Android OS, device fragmentation, and mobile testing best practices.

- Familiarity with Jira or similar defect-tracking tools.

- Basic knowledge of Postman or similar API testing tools.

- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to Appium, Selenium, Espresso, or other automation tools.

- Experience with performance and compatibility testing.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.

- Understanding of Google Play Store release processes.

Educational Qualification :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Additional Hiring Preferences :

- Candidates based in Bangalore are preferred.

- Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods will be given preference.
