Liferay Developer - Java/J2EE

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Liferay DXP & Commerce Developer with a strong background in developing robust and scalable digital experience and e-commerce solutions.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of hands-on experience with Liferay DXP, specifically version 7.4, and a proven track record of implementing and customizing Liferay Commerce functionalities.

This role requires a strong understanding of the Liferay ecosystem, including portal development, content management, integration, and e-commerce features.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and enhance the overall user experience.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and customize Liferay Commerce functionalities, including product catalog management, order processing, pricing rules, promotions, and checkout flows.

- Integrate Liferay DXP and Commerce with various third-party systems, such as ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and shipping providers, using RESTful APIs, SOAP, and other integration patterns.

- Configure and administer Liferay DXP and Commerce environments, including user/role/permissions management, site administration, and workflow configuration.

- Work with content structures, web content templates, and asset publishers to manage and display dynamic content within the Liferay portal.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, perform debugging, and optimize application performance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, UX/UI designers, and quality assurance, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and maintain high code quality.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Liferay DXP and Commerce features, best practices, and industry trends.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, deployment guides, and troubleshooting procedures.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies (Agile/Scrum).

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on development experience with Liferay DXP, with significant

experience in Liferay DXP 7.

- Demonstrable experience in implementing and customizing Liferay Commerce.

- Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE.

- Solid understanding and experience with Liferay Service Builder, OSGi modules, Hooks, and

Extensions.

- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including frameworks

like React, Angular, or jQuery), and AlloyUI/Clay/Lexicon frameworks.

- Proficiency in integrating Liferay with external systems using Web Services (REST/SOAP).

- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and strong SQL

knowledge.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with Liferay Cloud or cloud deployment environments.

- Knowledge of Liferay Analytics Cloud.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Understanding of microservices architecture.
