Licious - Information Technology Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

Position Summary :

The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, managing, and troubleshooting networks, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of the IT infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role involving proactive network monitoring, incident response, and implementation of network best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

Network Configuration & Maintenance :

- Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and other network devices.

- Monitor network performance and proactively address latency, connectivity, or throughput issues.

- Ensure high availability of enterprise voice and data networks through redundancy and failover strategies.

- Implement firmware upgrades, patches, and configuration changes as needed.

Troubleshooting & Support :

- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve external connectivity issues.

- Maintain documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and issue resolution procedures.

Security & Compliance :

- Monitor network for unusual activity, perform vulnerability assessments, and apply corrective actions.

- Collaborate with IT security team to implement policies and ensure compliance with data protection standards.

Collaboration & Implementation :

- Assist in network capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades.

- Provide network-related input for IT infrastructure and service desk projects.

Reporting & Documentation :

- Create SOPs for network deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting procedures.

- Update inventory records of network devices and components.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Experience :

- 2- 4 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.

- Experience in managing multi-site enterprise networks including retail or warehouse locations.

- Experience working with ISPs and vendor coordination for field implementation.

Technical Skills :

- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or similar networking equipment.

- Hands-on experience configuring and managing Cisco Meraki dashboard and devices.

- Experience with Fortinet firewalls including rule management and site-to-site VPN setup.

- Proficiency in deploying and troubleshooting Aruba wireless networks, including Instant APs and controllers.

- Knowledge of firewall configuration, ACLs, and secure access policies.

- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix).

- Understanding of wireless networking standards and troubleshooting (2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi).

Soft Skills :

- Effective communication and documentation abilities.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Willingness to travel to sites as required.

Education & Certifications :

- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
