Leuwint Technologies - Database Administrator - Oracle & MySQL

Job description :

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Oracle Database Server and MySQL. The role is responsible for ensuring database uptime, performance, scalability, and security across mission-critical environments. The DBA will manage backup/recovery, patching, space and performance optimization, and proactively plan for growth while minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities :

- Implement and manage Oracle & MySQL backup/recovery strategies (RMAN, Data Pump, Percona, mysqldump).

- Monitor and manage disk space, tablespaces, and capacity planning.

- Tune databases for performance (query optimization, indexing, partitioning).

- Monitor CPU, memory, I/O usage; troubleshoot errors and perform RCA for downtime.

- Daily monitoring of alert/error logs; enforce housekeeping for logs and backups.

- Apply Oracle/MySQL patches and security updates after testing.

- Manage Service Requests (SRs) with vendors and ensure quick resolution.

- Automate backup scripts and validate integrity.

- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports, health checks, and performance reviews.

- Support imports/exports, schema migrations, data refreshes, and test rebuilds.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN.

- Expertise in MySQL replication (master-slave, GTID, semi-sync), clustering, Percona/XtraBackup.

- Strong Linux/Unix knowledge for DB administration.

- Proven skills in tuning, automation, backup/recovery, and RCA.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science/IT.
