About the Role :

We are looking for a highly motivated Backend Engineer who is passionate about building scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that power critical business functions while driving engineering excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Translate complex business and functional requirements into robust technical solutions.

- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend systems and services.

- Own the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirement analysis to production deployment.

- Build high-quality, extensible, and maintainable applications while ensuring timely delivery.

- Drive adoption and evolution of engineering best practices, coding standards, and development tools.

- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and Business teams to deliver efficient solutions.

- Lead architecture and design discussions and provide end-to-end technical solutions.

- Drive continuous improvement in product, process, and technology.

- Manage and participate in bug triage, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution.

- Monitor product quality, performance, and delivery metrics, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

- Stay current with emerging technologies, open-source frameworks, and industry trends.

- Contribute to reusable frameworks, standards, and solution methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.

- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.

- Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design patterns.

- Proven experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

- Strong experience with SOA / microservices architecture and N-tier application development.

- Good understanding of database design, SQL optimization, and development using MySQL / MariaDB.

- Experience with messaging and queueing platforms such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.

- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-optimization skills.

- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.

- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.

- Understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
