Job Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Teradata Developer to join our data engineering team. With 10-15 years of experience, the ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Teradata architecture, development, and optimization, coupled with a strong understanding of ETL processes, performance tuning, and data warehousing concepts. As a Lead, you'll be responsible for guiding a team of developers, ensuring the delivery of high-performance data solutions that precisely meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable Teradata-based data solutions.

- Guide and mentor a team of Teradata developers, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and project timelines.

- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex ETL processes using various Teradata utilities and industry-standard tools.

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, BTEQ scripts, and utilize TPT (Teradata Parallel Transporter), FastLoad, MultiLoad, and FastExport for efficient data loading and extraction.

- Perform in-depth performance tuning of Teradata queries, processes, and overall system workload, ensuring optimal data retrieval and processing speeds.

- Design and implement efficient data models within the Teradata environment, aligning with data warehousing principles.

- Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and data solutions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data and performance issues within the Teradata ecosystem.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation for data solutions, ETL processes, and database designs.

- Ensure data quality and integrity across all developed solutions.

Required Skills :

- 10-15 years of experience in data warehousing, with 8+ years specifically in Teradata Development.

- Strong hands-on experience in SQL, BTEQ, TPT, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and FastExport.

- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL frameworks, and dimensional data modeling.

- Proficient in performance tuning, query optimization, and workload management in Teradata.

- Experience with Unix/Linux scripting and automation tools for data processing.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Proven experience in leading teams and providing technical guidance.

- Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Familiarity with data integration tools such as Informatica, Talend, or DataStage.

- Teradata certification is a plus.
