We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Lead Telecom Site Engineer / OSP Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of dedicated experience in telecom network deployment, particularly in Outside Plant (OSP) and site infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fiber optic deployment, last-mile connectivity, cell site construction, and associated civil and electrical works. This role requires strong leadership, project management capabilities, and the ability to oversee complex projects from planning to execution, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Management & Leadership :

- Lead and manage the end-to-end deployment of telecom infrastructure projects, including fiber optic networks (FTTH/FTTX), OSP routes, and mobile communication sites (2G/3G/4G/5G).

- Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and field teams.

Site Survey & Design :

- Conduct comprehensive site surveys for new telecom infrastructure projects, including route surveys for OSP, site identification for BTS/BSC/MSC, and feasibility studies.

- Prepare detailed site survey reports, bill of materials (BOM), and bill of quantities (BOQ).

- Review and approve network designs (OSP/ISP) to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and

compliance with specifications.

OSP & Fiber Optic Deployment :

- Manage the planning, execution, and supervision of all OSP activities, including trenching, ducting, cable laying (UG/Aerial), splicing, termination, and testing of fiber optic cables.

- Ensure proper installation of telecom poles, manholes, handholes, and other OSP passive infrastructure.

- Oversee the last-mile connectivity solutions for residential and commercial clients.

Site Construction & Integration :

- Supervise the civil construction works for telecom sites, including tower foundations, shelter foundations, DG pads, boundary walls, and cable trays.

- Manage electrical works, including power connections, earthing, internal wiring, and installation of power plants (AC/DC).

- Oversee the installation and commissioning of active telecom equipment (BTS, RRU, microwave radios, etc.) in coordination with relevant teams.

Quality & Safety Assurance :

- Implement and enforce stringent quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.

- Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations, industry best practices, and company policies.

- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify and rectify potential issues.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management :

- Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, vendors, and local authorities for necessary approvals, permits, and coordination.

- Negotiate with vendors for material procurement and service contracts.

Documentation & Reporting :

- Maintain accurate project documentation, including as-built drawings, progress reports, daily activity reports, and inventory management.

- Prepare and present regular project status updates to management and stakeholders.

Required Skills And Qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Telecom Site Engineering, with a strong focus on Outside Plant (OSP) infrastructure.

- Extensive hands-on experience in fiber optic network deployment (FTTH, FTTX), including planning, trenching, ducting, blowing/pulling, splicing, testing (OTDR, Power Meter), and fault finding.

- Proven expertise in telecom tower site civil and electrical works, including foundation design, tower erection supervision, DG installation, and earthing systems.

- In-depth knowledge of various telecom technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G) and their site infrastructure requirements.

- Strong understanding of industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.

- Proficiency in using testing equipment like OTDR, Power Meter, Splicing Machine, Multi-meter, etc.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage field teams and contractors.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic CAD software for reviewing drawings.
