About the Opportunity :

We are hiring for a leading global technology and digital transformation organization delivering enterprise-scale commerce and customer experience solutions for international clients. This opportunity is ideal for experienced ATG professionals passionate about backend engineering, scalable commerce platforms, and microservices-based architectures.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Java and Oracle ATG Commerce.

- Customize and extend ATG modules based on business and application requirements.

- Build scalable and high-performance microservices architectures.

- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems, middleware, and third-party services.

- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and system defects.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed systems.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, QA teams, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

- Ensure coding standards, security guidelines, and best engineering practices are followed.

- Support CI/CD implementation and automated deployment processes.

- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Must Have Skills

- 7+ years of strong hands-on experience in Java backend development.

- Strong expertise in Core Java concepts including :

a. OOPs

b. Multithreading

c. Collections

d. Exception handling

e. JVM concepts

f. Performance tuning

- Hands-on experience with Oracle ATG (Oracle Commerce) platform and module customizations.

- Strong experience in developing and deploying Microservices-based applications.

- Experience with :

a. Service discovery

b. Circuit breakers

c. Inter-service communication

d. Distributed logging

- Experience working with REST APIs and enterprise integrations.

- Strong understanding of relational databases and NoSQL databases.

- Experience in caching strategies and schema design.

- Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.

- Experience handling production support and critical issue resolution.

Good to Have Skills

- Experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot.

- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- CI/CD pipeline exposure using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.

- Knowledge of Kafka or MQ-based event-driven systems.

- Experience with code quality and security tools such as SonarQube and Fortify.

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
