Lead Software Engineer

Description : New Zealand based IT Company is hiring.

Position : Lead Software Engineer.

Location : Infopark, Kochi.

Mode : Hybrid.

Experience : 12+ Years of experience in IT Industry.

Skill set required :

High experience working in :

- JavaScript

- React

- C#

- SQL Server

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Delivery & Code Quality :

- Own end-to-end technical delivery for assigned product modules, ensuring timely, high-quality releases.

- Review, refactor, and optimize codebases to improve maintainability, scalability, and performance.

- Define and enforce code review standards, ensuring adherence to best practices in React, C#, and SQL development.

- Establish clear technical KPIs - e.g., defect density, code coverage, and mean time to recovery (MTTR).

Architecture & Design :

- Design scalable, modular, and secure system architectures leveraging microservices, APIs, and modern frameworks.

- Drive architectural consistency across frontend (React) and backend (.NET/C#) components.

- Evaluate and implement new technologies (Azure services, CI/CD tools) to improve system efficiency and resilience.

Added advantage if any experience in :

- Azure DevOps pipelines

- Azure

- Technical Leadership

- Own and evolve the technical strategy and architecture for key product areas.

- Lead the design and delivery of complex, cross-cutting initiatives.

- Ensure engineering best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and observability.

- Drive improvements in scalability, performance, and security across systems.

Collaboration with Team Lead :

- Partner with the Engineering Team Lead to align technical priorities with product delivery.

- Support the Team Lead in decision-making by providing technical direction and expertise.

- Contribute to sprint planning and technical backlog prioritization.

Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing :

- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and feedback.

- Promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

- Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.
