As an SDET Lead, you will be responsible for leading the quality automation efforts, ensuring the development of high-quality software through strategic test planning and execution.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, guiding SDET engineers, and fostering collaboration to ensure effective test coverage, performance, and security testing.

The ideal candidate has a solid technical background in automated testing, a strong understanding of testing frameworks, and excellent leadership skills, contributing to continuous improvement in testing processes and product quality.

Key Accountabilities :

- Lead the creation and execution of Quality Automation strategies for projects.

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using suitable testing frameworks and tools.

- Implement and advocate for continuous integration and continuous testing practices, ensuring reliability and efficiency in testing processes.

- Develop manual and automated test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.

- Execute tests (manual and automated), identify issues, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

- Track defects, work closely with development and product teams for resolution, and analyze test results to report on quality metrics and progress.

- Guide and mentor junior SDET engineers, fostering their career development and technical expertise.

- Lead the collaboration between Engineering, Technical Services, and Product teams to ensure alignment on testing requirements and objectives.

- Provide expert-level feedback to developers, improving the overall quality of the software.

- Continuously identify areas for improvement in the testing processes and suggest enhancements to maximize test coverage and efficiency.

- Play a key role in refining internal testing dictionaries and testing frameworks to improve product accuracy.

- Conduct functionality, usability, and relevancy testing on web applications, providing recommendations for improvement.

- Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to manage and maintain accurate, scalable test environments.

- Ensure test environments mirror production setups to simulate real-world conditions and enhance test validity.

- Lead performance and security testing efforts to identify vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks.

- Ensure that test cases align with business requirements, security standards, and end-user needs.

- Oversee pre-launch checks and post-launch support for new customers to ensure smooth transitions and high-quality product releases.

- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, providing clear updates on testing progress, risks, and issues.

- Participate in status meetings, presenting test results and key insights to project teams and management.

Skills and Knowledge :

- Strong background in test automation, test frameworks, and continuous integration practices.

- 7+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role guiding SDET engineers.

- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.

- Strong hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and proficiency in languages such as C# and Java; adaptable to learning and working with new programming languages as needed.

- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries, with a solid understanding of relational databases.

- Good understanding of domain-specific concepts, with the ability to quickly grasp and apply domain knowledge to technical solutions.

- Experience with performance and security testing frameworks.

- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Experience with agile methodologies and test-driven development.

- Ability to work cross-functionally and provide technical guidance in diverse, global teams.
