Lead Shopify POS UI Developer

Description : Lead Shopify POS UI Developer.

Location : Remote.

Engagement : Full-time.

Experience : Minimum 8+ years.

Skill : Shopify, POS UI Extensions, React, TypeScript, GraphQL/REST.

Key Responsibilities :

POS UI Development :

- Design, develop, and lead delivery of Shopify POS UI Extensions across multiple retail use cases.

- Build modern POS experiences using React, TypeScript, and native POS UI Extension components.

- Upgrade and migrate older POS UI extension versions to the newest APIs & components, handling breaking changes and rollout strategy.

Shopify Ecosystem Integration :

- Integrate with Shopify Admin APIs (GraphQL/REST), Webhooks, App Bridge, and optional Remix/Node.js services.

- Configure and optimize Smart Grid layouts based on store, location, or role requirements.

- Collaborate with Shopify Plus Support for issue resolution and assess impact of ongoing platform releases.

DevOps & Deployment :

- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment via the Shopify Partners Dashboard.

- Support multi-environment workflows (dev/QA/stage/prod) with feature flags and rollback strategies.

Qualifications & Technical Expertise :

Mandatory Requirements :

- 8+ years overall IT experience.

- 3+ years direct experience in Shopify POS / E-commerce for large retail organizations (>$500M revenue).

- 3-5 years hands-on experience with :

- Shopify POS UI Extensions.

- Shopify App Bridge.

- Shopify Admin APIs (REST & GraphQL).

Frontend Skills :

- Advanced skills in React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3.

- Knowledge of Liquid templating and Shopify Polaris for Admin UI development.
