About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead QA Engineer with expertise in both manual and automated testing to lead our quality assurance efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and the SDLC.
You will guide a team of QA engineers, ensure robust testing practices, and deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the QA team in planning, designing, and executing test strategies for web, mobile, and backend applications.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
- Drive automation initiatives by designing and implementing automated test scripts using modern tools and frameworks.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, integration, and system testing to ensure software quality.
- Collaborate closely with development, product, and business teams to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
- Review and ensure quality of deliverables from junior QA engineers through mentorship and code/test review processes.
- Identify, report, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
- Implement CI/CD-integrated automated testing pipelines to enhance release efficiency.
- Monitor and measure QA metrics, identify areas for improvement, and continuously enhance testing processes.
- Stay updated on latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends to recommend improvements.
Technical Skills Required:
- Strong experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# for automation.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps for integrating automated tests.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodology, and defect lifecycle.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Quality Center
