We are seeking a highly technical and hands-on Lead QA Automation Engineer to own and scale Quality Engineering across our EV ecosystem including Android, iOS, Web, and Backend APIs.

The individual should be able to :

1. Drive automation first quality

2. Build high performing QA teams

3. Setup robust processes to keep pace with fast moving product lifecycle

4. Define automation and API testing strategies

5. Embed security testing practices into SDLC

6. Architect / Manage scalable test frameworks

7. Drive shift left, DevSecOps and release quality

You will operate as a technical leader first, people leader second, driving quality from design to release.

Responsibilities :

QA Strategy & Leadership :

- Define and drive the QA automation roadmap and quality standards

- Architect scalable test frameworks (UI + API + Integration)

- Establish shift-left and DevSecOps practices

- Own release quality, risk assessment, and regression planning

- Lead, mentor, and conduct code/performance reviews for QA engineers

Automation & Platform Testing

- Build and maintain automation for :

1. Web applications

2. Android & iOS mobile apps

3. Backend APIs (REST/GraphQL)

- Design regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and E2E test suites

- Optimize automation for performance, stability, and parallel execution

- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines

API & Backend Validation :

- Develop robust API automation frameworks

- Validate authentication (OAuth, JWT), schema, contract, and edge cases

- Ensure API backward compatibility and versioning stability

- Collaborate with backend teams on mocking and service virtualization

Security & Quality Governance :

- Embed security testing into SDLC

- Validate authentication, authorization, role-based access

- Perform API security validation and vulnerability assessments

- Ensure alignment with secure coding and OWASP principles

Reporting & Metrics :

- Define and track QA metrics:

1. Automation coverage

2. Defect leakage

3. Test stability

4. Release readiness

- Deliver executive-level quality dashboards

Required Skills :

- 8 to 12 years of QA experience with strong automation background

- Strong programming skills (Java / Kotlin / Python / JavaScript)

- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress or similar

- Strong API automation experience (REST Assured, Postman, etc.)

- Solid understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT)

- Experience in Android, iOS, and Web testing

- Strong understanding of test architecture, design patterns

- CI/CD integration experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

- Deep understanding of :

1. Test lifecycle management

2. Regression strategy

3. Shift left testing

4. Risk based release handling

5. OWASP security fundamentals

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in EV / Automotive / IoT ecosystems

- Hands-on experience with device clusters

- Exposure to BLE / connected device testing

- Performance testing experience

- Experience building QA processes in startup environments

- Vehicle HMI / cluster systems exposure
