Role Overview :

As a Lead Malware Analyst, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to understand and combat emerging cyber threats. Your day-to-day will involve deep-dive analysis of sophisticated malware samples, reverse engineering malicious code, and developing innovative detection and mitigation strategies. You will collaborate closely with our security engineering, incident response, and threat intelligence teams, providing critical insights and expertise to enhance our overall security posture. Your work will directly impact the security of our organization and our customers, protecting them from the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the analysis of complex malware samples using reverse engineering techniques to identify functionality, propagation mechanisms, and potential impact.

- Develop and maintain automated malware analysis pipelines and tools, leveraging API sandboxes and scripting languages like Python, to improve efficiency and scalability.

- Conduct in-depth digital forensics investigations to identify the source, scope, and impact of malware infections.

- Perform proactive threat hunting activities to identify and mitigate emerging threats before they impact the organization.

- Collaborate with security engineering teams to develop and implement effective detection and prevention measures based on malware analysis findings.

- Mentor and train junior malware analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.

- Communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences through clear and concise reports and presentations.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in malware reverse engineering, utilizing tools such as IDA Pro and debuggers.

- Proven ability to develop and maintain Python scripts for automating malware analysis tasks and integrating with API sandboxes.

- Strong understanding of x86 architecture, Windows internals, and common malware techniques.

- Experience in conducting digital forensics investigations and performing malware forensics analysis.

- Ability to perform proactive threat hunting and identify emerging threats based on malware analysis findings.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

- Adaptable to an on-site work environment in Mumbai.

- 6-10 years of relevant experience.
