Job Overview :
We are looking for an experienced IoT Platform Engineer with 9+ years of overall IT experience and strong hands-on expertise in Java 17+, IoT platforms, and AWS cloud services.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable IoT platforms that process device telemetry, sensor data, and real-time events. Strong hands-on experience with AWS IoT Core is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable IoT platform solutions using Java 17+.
- Develop backend services and APIs supporting IoT devices, telemetry, and sensor-data processing.
- Work with AWS IoT Core to connect, manage, monitor, and process data from IoT devices.
- Build and maintain cloud-native IoT solutions using AWS services.
- Design solutions for real-time processing of device and sensor data.
- Work with MQTT and other IoT communication protocols.
- Develop scalable and reliable microservices for IoT platforms.
- Implement event-driven architectures for processing IoT events and telemetry.
- Work with data engineering technologies such as Snowflake, Liquibase, or Apache Spark/PySpark.
- Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, data-processing, and production issues.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional teams.
- Follow best practices for scalability, reliability, security, monitoring, and maintainability.
Mandatory Skills :
- 9+ years of total IT experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+
1. Java 17/21 preferred
2. Candidates with only Java 8/11 experience will not be considered
- Strong IoT Platform experience
- Hands-on experience with :
1. IoT devices
2. Telemetry
3. Sensor data
4. MQTT
5. Edge devices
6. Real-time IoT systems
- AWS IoT Core Mandatory
- Experience with AWS services such as :
1. AWS Lambda
2. Amazon S3
3. Amazon EC2
4. Amazon DynamoDB
5. Amazon SNS
6. Amazon SQS
7. Amazon EventBridge
8. Amazon CloudWatch
9. Amazon API Gateway
- Experience with at least one of the following :
1. Snowflake
2. Liquibase
3. Apache Spark / PySpark
Technical Expectations :

- IoT platform architecture
