Role Overview :

As a Lead Integration Engineer, you will design, implement, and operationalize enterprise integration solutions that connect product platforms, AI-enabled applications, workflow systems, APIs, business systems, and external services. You will define best practices for API design, event-driven architectures, service orchestration, lifecycle management, and AI-aware integration patterns (GenAI, agent-to-agent, MCP).

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead secure, scalable integration architectures across APIs, event streams, enterprise systems, and AI-enabled applications.

- Define standards for REST APIs, messaging, orchestration, schema management, and lifecycle governance.

- Implement integrations enabling GenAI and agentic AI systems to interact with enterprise platforms (SAP, ServiceNow, workflow engines).

- Drive practices for API versioning, authentication, resiliency, observability, and backward compatibility.

- Collaborate with architects, AI engineers, and product stakeholders to translate use cases into integration designs.

- Ensure integrations are observable, testable, supportable, and operationally mature.

- Mentor engineers and contribute reusable artifacts (API standards, schema templates, accelerators).

Required Qualifications :

- 6 - 9 years in integration/middleware/API engineering.

- Hands-on with Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, or equivalents (MuleSoft, Boomi, Kafka, Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway).

- Expertise in REST APIs, JSON, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, webhooks, schema management, event-driven communication.

- Experience integrating with SAP, ServiceNow, ERP, ITSM, workflow platforms.

- Knowledge of agentic AI integration patterns (tool invocation, A2A, MCP).

- Strong CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and operational support experience.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with GenAI/agentic AI integrations, MCP, A2A.

- Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, LangChain.

- Exposure to SAP BTP, workflow orchestration, API governance.

- Reliability engineering (idempotency, dependency tracing, failure injection).

- Experience in build-own-operate product organizations.
