Role Overview :
We are hiring a Lead Frontend Engineer to own the architecture and delivery of large-scale, cloud-native web applications.
This is not a UI-only role you will drive frontend system design, performance engineering, and platform-level decisions across multiple products.
You will be responsible for building highly scalable, modular frontend architectures (Micro Frontends), ensuring low-latency, high-availability user experiences, and partnering with backend, product, and design teams to deliver production-grade SaaS platforms used at scale.
This role requires deep hands-on expertise, strong engineering judgment, and proven experience in building and operating frontend systems in production environments.
Key Responsibilities :
Architecture & System Design :
- Own and design frontend architecture for large-scale applications, including Micro Frontend ecosystems (mandatory)
- Define component architecture, state management strategies, and inter-app communication patterns
- Drive modularization, reusability, and long-term maintainability across multiple frontend applications
- Make critical decisions on frameworks, libraries, and architectural patterns
Development & Delivery :
- Build and ship production-grade applications using React.js, TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Enforce clean code practices, strong typing, and scalable folder/code structures
- Implement robust API integrations, handling edge cases, failures, retries, and performance optimization
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design at scale
Performance & Scalability :
- Optimize applications for low latency, fast load times, and high concurrency
- Implement code splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies, and CDN optimization
- Analyze and improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, FID) and real-user performance metrics
Collaboration & Product Thinking
- Work closely with UX/UI teams to translate design systems into high-quality, scalable UI components
- Partner with backend teams to define API contracts and data flow strategies
- Contribute to product decisions with engineering trade-offs
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor engineers and enforce engineering excellence standards
- Conduct code reviews focused on scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Technical Skills (STRICT REQUIREMENTS):
Core Frontend
Expert-level proficiency in :
- React.js (hooks, lifecycle, performance patterns)
- TypeScript (mandatory for large-scale apps)
- Modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- HTML5, CSS3 (including Flexbox, Grid)
- Micro Frontend architectures (MANDATORY production use only)
- Component libraries / design systems
- State management (Redux / Zustand / Context API or equivalent)
Strong understanding of :
- Frontend scalability patterns
- Module federation / app composition
Cloud & Infrastructure :
- Experience working in cloud-native environments (GCP preferred / AWS acceptable)
Experience Requirements (NON-NEGOTIABLE) :
- 10+ years of frontend engineering experience
Proven experience in :
- Building and scaling production web applications
- Owning frontend architecture (not just contributing)
- Working in product/SaaS environments
Demonstrated experience with :
- Micro Frontends in production (mandatory)
- Handling high-traffic or enterprise-scale applications
- Experience working in cross-functional, global teams
What Makes a Strong Fit :
- Has architected and scaled frontend platforms, not just built screens
- Demonstrates deep understanding of performance optimization and scalability
Has delivered measurable impact :
- Improved performance
- Reduced load times
- Enhanced user experience at scale
- Strong ownership mindset drives decisions, not just executes tasks
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced product environments
- Ability to balance engineering excellence with product delivery speed
Implicit Disqualifiers (Used Internally for Screening) :
Candidates will be rejected if they :
- Have only worked on UI implementation without architecture ownership
- Lack real Micro Frontend production experience
- Show only tool familiarity without depth
- Have no exposure to production-scale systems
- Primarily worked in support/maintenance roles
