Lead Engineer - Conversational AI

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js, Conversational AI, and Large Language Model (LLM) or RAG-based systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, and leading the development of intelligent AI-driven conversational platforms, ensuring scalable and high-performing backend systems.

Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end design and development of AI-driven conversational applications and platforms.

- Architect, develop, and optimize backend systems using Node.js and MongoDB.

- Integrate Conversational AI, LLM, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) components into production-grade solutions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI/ML engineers, front-end developers, and product owners, to deliver scalable and reliable features.

- Ensure best practices in code quality, security, and performance optimization.

- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews for the engineering team.

- Stay updated on emerging trends in GenAI, NLP, and backend architecture to drive continuous innovation.

Requirements :

- 10 to 15 years of software development experience, with at least 4+ years in a technical leadership role.

- Strong hands-on experience in Node.js and MongoDB.

- Proven expertise in Conversational AI, Chatbots, and GenAI frameworks.

- Experience working with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, etc.) or RAG-based solutions.

- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Strong problem-solving and system design skills with a focus on scalability and performance.

- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Good to Have :

- Experience with LangChain, Vector Databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, etc.).

- Exposure to Python or AI pipeline orchestration tools.

- Familiarity with frontend technologies (React.js, Next.js) is a plus.
