We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Lead Embedded Systems Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and validation of our next-generation hardware platforms.
In this role, you will act as a bridge between the physical and digital domains. You will own the entire lifecycle of our embedded productsfrom initial multi-layer schematic layout to writing deterministic, real-time bare-metal/RTOS firmware. This position demands a combination of technical leadership, hardware layout expertise, firmware optimization skills, and rigorous hands-on system validation in the lab.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect, write, and maintain robust, modular, and reliable embedded firmware in C/C++ for various microcontroller units (MCUs) such as ARM Cortex-M, STM32, PIC, or MSP430.
- Implement deterministic real-time application logic using RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) or bare-metal execution loops.
- Write and optimize drivers for low-level peripherals and communication interfaces.
- Implement, configure, and debug wired communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-232, and RS-485.
- Incorporate communication layers for sensor integration, actuator control, and external telemetry subsystems.
- Perform initial board bring-up, debugging hardware issues using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers).
- Drive complete hardware-firmware integration, system verification, and environmental stress testing.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, establish technical documentation standards, and participate in peer design reviews (schematics and code).
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electronics, electrical engineering, embedded systems, or a related
discipline.
- 8 - 10 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems development.
- Strong expertise in embedded firmware development for microcontroller-based systems.
- Experience in schematic capture, PCB design, board bring-up, and hardware debugging.
- Strong understanding of power electronics and electrical system design.
- Experience working with communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and RS-232/RS-485.
- Strong knowledge of sensor and actuator integration.
- Understanding of device drivers and embedded software interfaces.
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills across hardware and firmware.
